“There is a secret in our culture, and it’s not that birth is painful. It’s that women are strong.” ~ Laura Stavoe Harm

Hey! I'm Hayden..

Here I am, deeply immersed in all things birth and I’ll never go back. My story starts in 2016 when I birthed my son into water by the warm golden glow of sunrise. I swear, it was absolutely as magical as it sounds. With a doula by my side, I felt confident, educated and downright empowered. She helped pave the way to what was the most mind-blowing day and a fresh new beginning of my life.

I made a vow when I was home, cozied in bed with my newborn son, that come his first birthday I would start my training to become a doula, and so I did.

Since then I’ve been mastering my craft by attending any and all workshops even remotely birth focused. From evidence-based care to rebozo techniques, and multiple classes on just the pelvis alone! All of the little ways we can help with positioning and guiding your baby down for a more comfortable, and even faster labor. Through each of my births, I saw a need for trained lactation support to be on staff, so I became a Certified Lactation Counselor through Healthy Children’s Project to further be able to help guide clients of mine looking for help with nursing their new babies.

The more I learned, as an avid researcher, the more I became obsessed with this work. I wanted to be the “one stop shop” for all of your birthing needs!

As you can probably tell by flipping through my website, I also have a burning passion for photography. This started when I was just a child, growing up in a family of wedding photographers. I loved knowing that memories could be frozen and kept for the rest of time, but I never felt a draw towards weddings themselves. The birth world is where I belong, and so my camera has followed me there. Now I have this humbling opportunity to be able to capture the most intimate of all moments. I can’t express how thankful I am to each and every one of my clients for trusting me to be a part of their birth space. Trusting me with capturing you at your most vulnerable. Your child’s first breath of earths air. Your first gentle touch of their tiny features. Soaking all of it in.

Nothing in this world (beyond my own son and his sublime presence) makes me happier than working in the world of birth. I’ve found my home, I’ve found my calling.

Enough about me, let’s meet up for some tea and you can tell me all of your birthing dreams!
